yesterday was eventful during work.
running around the store a few times.
TIRING!
from my counter, which was at the last row, to the main entrance (customer service) for at least like....3 times. that means from one end of the store to another.
and to the chief cashier room like 2-3 times too.
and then to check the price of this laundry bag which does not have a bar code to scan. -_-
so that means another trip to the office and finding where the laundry bag was found.
first time working at the express counter at night. SUPER BUSY!
out of the 3 express counters at my side, i was the only counter opened for like...quite a while.
queue was damn long. ._.
ended work at 10.
and i dunno what's wrong with me. so due to this....blur-ness of mine. i got a new nickname- 98 dollars.
T____T

and it's the last time me, weiling and no.8 are working the same shift!
he's not working after 1st anymore.
nooooooo. 8th September will be gone.
kinda sad huh. :(
but! we made an agreement to meet on either one of our birthdays next year!
exchange gifts.

now another person calls me no.9, besides Loner.

oh yeah. i got 2 $1000 notes yesterday.
so in total, i've received 3 $1000 notes while at work.
got one last week too.
but the cost of it was that all my $50 and $10 notes were gone.

yesterday was not bad, considering the fact that i saw some of those people i missed at school! like Seri and Cynthia. :)
helped with the recruitment, then headed to JP to meet Kaywee and Lily, with the intention of playing TC4, but they were too late.
i had to report for work already when they arrived. :(

first part of work was urgh.
especially the starting.
but after that it was much better. :)
there was this group of customers that made my day!
they were telling me about......something. can't say it here uh.
damn funny!
they even made me laugh when i wasn't really feeling that good, can you imagine? :D
like one part. i asked them do they have a linkcard.
two of them said they don't have. then suddenly, the 3rd guy was like: " *pause* EH WAIT! *another pause* I THINK I HAVE. *digs his bag to find his card*"
damn funny la! you should have seen him and his tone. even his two friends and i were laughing. XD
and another part, i can't say it here. :)

rah. there's always a confusion at what time work will end, for night shift.
some say it's 10, some say it's 11.
it's always a rush for time after work. cause we have to rush to catch the last train/bus!
HAHA. kinda exciting. lol. but i like. :)
and i couldn't get my bro's ice-cream cause work ended too late.
took the 2nd last train home. XD

as usual, chatted. and something embarrassing happened. -.-
and Weiling's reaction to my phone's wallpaper made me go T_T.
after lunch, watched 'YES MAN!' with them!
wooo! Weiling could make it! she couldn't the day before. :(
yeah! it was FUNNY.

the first part was abit boring, but after the 'YES' Seminar part, it was funny uh. XD
ESPECIALLY THE KOREAN THING!
OHMYGOD. seriously funny! XD
and some parts was errr......lol nevermind. =X
lifted up my spirits a lil. :)
& i think it's the first time i heard Kang Meng laugh. o.o
then headed home. love 'long' bus rides like this. but i wished it was longer. lol.

today kind of sucked.
i wasn't in the best of spirits, and work today was totally urgh.
don't like it sometimes when i don't have any customers.
no customers=time passes slower=more bored.
& i came up with a weird suggestion to ____ _____ with Hasina and Weiling during work, since our counters are like in one row. =x
funny uh. whenever customers came, we would be like 'eh! pause pause! got customer'.
that was the only funny thing that happened today. :)
and after worked sucked. skip the details ya.

& i love laughters.

there was one day whereby i was really happy!
i was serving a customer when she suddenly asked me "How long have you been working as a cashier?" in chinese. so i replied her less than a week.
and she said i was very stable at work!
THAT REALLY MADE MY DAYY. :)

okay. there was once Zijie and Melissa(Psyduck) came when i was working, the day when they had the JC/Poly bandfest thing. Melissa came over and asked whether she can pay by Ez-link card.
LOL! funny uh she. XD

oh ya! i remember during work, Gary came over and bought some stuff.
lol. he bought THAT ANNOYING BBQ CHICKEN! very difficult to scan. and when you take it out from the plastic bag sometimes, all the oil will spill out.
there was once i had to go to the toilet two times to wash away the oil in one day, cause even after using the hand sanitizer, it's still really oily.
and he kept telling me what to put in the same plastic bag. lol.
AND TELL ME HE'S EATING STEAMBOAT! when i was really hungry during work. -_-

errrrr. oh yeah! i was working today, and i was too tired to smile. -_-
think i saw Eleanor, and Shane's body. LOL
cause the 'free oil when you pump $50 fuel at Esso station' promotion board thing was blocking his face, so i only saw his body. o_O
but i was busy serving customers. so didn't really see them properly. =X
by the time i finished serving those customers in queue, they were gone. o.o

OHHH! and on my first fateful day working on a tuesday, where they have this 2% elderly discount thing, it's really annoying. -_-
i need to call the chief cashier 3 times out cause i forgot to give the discount. -_-
rahhh. my bad. T_T
but i made one customer happy. i wasn't sure whether she was above 60, so i asked her.
and she said "i don't look like 60 ah?"
but i mean, SHE REALLY DOESN'T LOOK ABOVE 60! SERIOUS.
i made her day. haha. XD
but i ran alot that day. =X

oh yeah. and i remember on the day before, i was working night shift cause i switched shift with my friend.
but the next day (tuesday), i had to work morning shift.
so it's like:
monday: worked from 5-11. reached home past midnight, around 12.30-1am. slept at 2+.
tuesday: woke up at 7+. had work from 9-2.
and after work on tuesday, watched Twilight.
felt kinda sleepy, and my contacts were dryyy. T_T
and adding on to that, i was working at the express counter that day.
VERY SLACK. i got only 3 customers in one hour. and their 3 purchases added up didn't even exceed $20. can you imagine how bored i was. -_-
but the aunty beside me was even worse. she didn't even get a single customer since 7.45 in the morning until at around 10am.
pity her. =X
cause it's partly due to how the express counters are arranged. 3 counters side by side in a row.
the first person nearest to the fruits department would get the most customers.
so the other 2 person would be really slack. =x
so bored until i decided to walk around the store sometimes. =x
and when i was walking around the store, i headed to the Customer Service to ask about some free items thing. and guess who i saw?
SYAQ! YESSSS. HORNY/AUNTIE SYAQ!
i was shocked uh! XD
but she's not working at the same place as me now. :(
oh yeah. i think working at the Customer Service is kinda..pitiful.
cause whenever customers ask us anything, we would either say 'Proceed to the Customer Service' or 'I'm not so sure. You can ask the Customer Service'.
so it's like anything we don't know, we ask them to go to the customer service. =X

and! i was having lunch with Weiling on tuesday, and we were chatting. about our job stuff etc. and she told me about Twilight.
OMG LOL. she described it until it was seriously soooo funny!
i really laughed out loud. XD
shall not type it out here. lol. XD
i was laughing inside while watching Twilight cause i remembered what Weiling told me.
lol. XD
she accompanied me to the arcade, where we played TC4.
her first time playing! not bad. XD

OHHHHHHHH! and talking about Weiling! my new friend cum colleague. :)
she's a French Horn player too! COINCIDENTAL EH!
and her birthday is on 7th September! COOOOL. XD
we have a few things in common too. :D
and today during lunch, i can't remember what we were talking about, but in the end we ended up saying 'Awesome!' together!

first half of work today was... -_-
most of the customers gave me a 'i-wanna-kill-you' look when i was serving them.
but kinda slack for the first half.
got some problems with the counter allocation. they forgot to put my name today.
so had to switch counters halfway.
2nd half of work was really really busy.
even one of the chief cashier came to help me, cause the queue was seriously long!
so busy until i have no time to drink water and smile.
THAT BUSY.
and Glen came today. i didn't see him again. -.-
he passed to me one piece of paper and walked off. o_O
and he got to see my 'new' uniform. -.-
wanna thank Kang Meng, Gary and Wei Ling for helping me to tell the customers that my counter's closed!
esp Kang Meng and Gary. Gary helped me scan those bulky items, packed my scanned item into bags when they have already knocked off. Kang Meng helped to stand in the queue as the last customer, holding the 'Counter Closed' sign.
and they escorted me back into the cashier room.

the previous person put like tons of coins into the float bag.
i counted money for like 40 mins before heading out of the cashier room. -.-
have to make sure that it's the exact amount, cause if it's not, we have to be accountable for it eh.

today's work kinda slack, cause im posted to the express counter.
less busy than the main counters.
so..not as busy.
but the irritating thing is, tons of people buy those rice cookers, garment steamer, shelves and such.
and the plastic bag is like...not really that big enough.
some of them wanted to put inside plastic bags. had a hard time. ._.
other than that, kinda slack.
but the live prawns scared me a lil!
i was scanning other items when i suddenly glanced at those poooor prawns inside the plastic bag, when it suddenly like....'jerked',
scared me. dunno why. -.-
and Sihui, Nic, Chaoxiang, Jiaojun and Eunice visited me during work.

as usual, i didn't notice them until i served them.
cause during that time i was serving a few customers.

and i realised halfway during work that i got a few cuts on my hands, when i rubbed my hands using the hand sanitizer.

SUPER SCARED AT FIRST!
didn't even open my own counter at all when i was posted to Boon Lay shopping complex for two days before getting posted to JP, which was my original branch.
and the first time im opening my counter, it's at the opening of the shop.
SUPER BUSY!
first few customers were nice ah. didn't mind my slowness.
then got used to it, then it's better. :)
BUT THE FRUITS ARE SUPER IRRITATING I TELL YOU.
and those Buy 1 get 1 free or Buy 2 get one free those kind of stuffs.
TOO MANY TO REMEMBER!
seriously, even the team leader/manager or something even told us cashiers in the cashier room that there's too much stuff to remember. too many promotions. and some free items don't need to be scanned while some needs to be scanned. CONFUSING! and it's not really our fault if we made a mistake. we get complained/scolded, they have to get the same treatment too.
so they're trying to do something about it tomorrow.
YAY! :)

i got poked by crabs, poked by live prawns, poked by pineapples, scalded by chicken.
oil coming out from the chicken staining my hands.
and the prawns were still moving inside the plastic bag when i scanned them. o_O
and! the first two familiar faces i saw was Shiyun and Kelly!
i didn't know they were in the queue until i served them.
they told me that they waved at me but i didn't see them.
told you it's really busy. ._.
and the next group of familiar faces was Glen, Zijie bro and Jojo.
okay. this was even more funny.
they told me that they were standing behind me all the while, but i was too busy until i didn't even notice.
and i only realised when Jojo and Glen joined the queue to buy 3 pieces of Ferroro Rocher.

okay. that was my 'first' day at work, since it's my first time opening my own counter. =x
and i screwed up loads of times today. ._.
but at the end of the day, the report came out.

cause i forgot to return 10 cent change to a customer, and i told her sorry and wait for awhile while i complete the next transaction, but she just said nevermind and went off.

just that today while at work i saw someone pay a $1000 note at the cashier.
YOU DON'T SEE THIS EVERYDAY!
even during training, they said so. VERY RARE.

and saw a $100 note today too.
lol. and the person teaching me today was like "what if the note is not real. later i have to pay the balance of like $843.25 (i still remember the change cause it's just...unusual) at the end of the day, when we print our report and submit all money to the chief cashier.
but before that the person at the next counter supervising the other guy working was like telling me something like yi1 qian1 (in chinese or something).
didn't know what he was talking about until i saw the guy at my counter holding the note.
LOL!
then he was like "you have enough money to give change anot." when he saw the person holding the 1k note.
then my 'teacher' for today was like still blur: "what yi1 qian1", until he saw the note too then he knew what he was talking about.
and after he left, when there was no more customers behind, we were like feeling and touching the note, whether it was real anot.
funny uh. XD

[13th November '08]
Bio paper in the morning. shall skip about that.
prepared for prom. went to do my hair before Sihui and Yilin came.
they came later than i expected!
they kept rushing me to change cause i didn't want to. =x
but the first thing they said when i came out from the toilet after i changed was:

"Eh Weijuan! You look like bridesmaid eh!"

that's what i remembered. =x
they actually came to 'do my nails', but in the end i did it myself.
even the makeup. except for some which my mum did it for me.
and and! when i was doing my nails, i was half-listening to the TV, which was showing drama.
